Terra Nostrum is a large continent encompassing more than 21 million square kilometres. It is composed of one chief continental shelf, namely the Roman Plate. All together, Terra Nostrum comprises one nation. Terra Nostrum is surrounded by vast bodies of water, including the Mares Neptune in the center, Salacia in the south, Antonia in the west and Magnificum in the north and east.
Name
The name "Terra Nostrum" is the Latin term for "Our Land". This was what the first Roman settlers decided to name the land when they first arrived on the continent. The name was derived from the Roman name for the Mediterranean Sea, Mare Nostrum.
