This is the article about the doctrine associated with the administration of 29th President of Ainin Robert Brown. For the doctrine associated with the administration of 31st President Harold Brown, see Raspberry Doctrine.

The Brown Doctrine is the popular name associated with Ainin's foreign policy respecting its ex-colonies of East Nautarya, West Nautarya, Concordia and Linguere, commonly known as the Aininosphere. Also part of the military doctrine of the Aininian Armed Forces, it states, in brief, that the Aininian Republic has a moral and strategic duty to defend her ex-colonies from foreign and domestic attack, and has been marked in practice by events including the Aininian intervention in the Nautaryan Civil War (1997-2014).

Thus policy has ita origins in the realpolitik practiced by the Brown administration that is also its namesake.
