Despite acheiving victory, Imperial forces were unable to capitalise on their success at Matiavik as lack of supplies forced them to halt their advance until 9th June. In this time, Imperial forces sustained their first defeat of the intervention at the (strategically insignificant) [[Action of Kobirit]].
