Sabyatoza is a power/heavy metal band originally from Gotrland, Dniegua. The bands main lyrical themes center around warfare, with many of their songs focusing on historical battles and other themes associated with war, including depression and suicide. Since 2009, the band has toured extensively on the international scene, though one of their biggest draws is the Gottland Metal Festival. The band has preformed at the festival since its debut in 2009.
History
Segrona
The bands first studi album, Segrona, was released in 2008, after the group was picked up by Black Rock Records. The albums overriding theme is warfare and conflict, with each song depicting a famous battle or military history. Examples include Fields of Fire, depicting the extensive use of napalm by Skanderan Union forces during the Kolenomese War, Where Eagles Dare paying homage to the Dnieguan Luftschiffahrtflygt of the late 18 and early 1900's, and Fields of Blood depicting the century long conflict between Temuair and Dniegua over the Agulla Pass
Though these conflicts primarily involve Dniegua, several notable exceptions exist, such as the albums 7th track Hunters, describes Aisling submarine hunting packs during the Second Skanderan War.
Gottland Metal Festival
The Gottland Metal Festival is one of the largest metal festivals in the world. Starting in 1989, the festival has been a large draw from both Dnieguan and international metal fans, averaging over 200,000 attendees each year.
