South Singularism

Shin'ya Hashimoto

South Singularism (南特異性, Minami Tokui-Sei), officially known as Deep South Singularism (極南特異性, Goku-Minami Tokui-Sei), is a form of Singularism which combines the existing right-wing politics and populist views with regional nationalism and more moderate ideas. The political ideology was coined and put into practice by Hoterallian radical political journalist and warlord, Shin'ya Hashimoto, during the Second Reunification War of Hoterallia. The original doctrine of South Singularism was "creating a Singularist system that put the state above all else and a modern industrialized society with thinking of the past."

It is a far-right, authoritarian, ultranationalist political ideology, characterized by a dictatorial leader, a closed technocracy, militarism and alongside many other far-right ideas.

Today, South Singularism had split into many branches to fit other national ideas. In Hoterallia, South Singularism stayed under restriction, so groups and parties that follow this ideology had to modify it to fit national requirements, which created Reactionary Singularism. Even with ideological differences, the main principle of South Singularism is establishing a single state with a single ethnicity, language, and identity and led by a single leader.

Etymology

The Hoterallian naming of Singularism, "特異性" (Tokui-Sei), came from Shin'ya Hashimoto's translation of the Vultesian works like The Single State, The Green Jacket Manifesto and For The Brigade. Despite being Vultophilic and a believer in Vultesian Singularism, he had many conflicting ideas about its system, which prompted him to create his work based on his philosophy. He later named the ideology "Southern Singularism" to reflect both its original ideological backbones and the appropriation for later expansion in the Southern Hemisphere.

The symbolism of South Singularism usually associates with the Singularist cross with the Phoenix of Hoterallia.

Definition

South Singularism is an ideology that primarily espouses Singularism, ultranationalism, populism and economic nationalism.

Many Olivacian historians, political scientists, and other scholars have long debated the exact nature of South Singularism. Riamese historian Ian Shenfield once wrote that "South Singularism paints a mirroring image of its root while still making it stands out." Agreed by many scholars, South Singularism has historically carried a stigma associated with communism, foreign intervention, and parliamentary liberalism, attracting support primarily from the far-right.

Hoterallian scholars' definition of South Singularism focuses on several concepts. The concepts were drawn from Shin'ya Hashimoto's published work "The Ideology of South Singularism: Creating A System For The Southern Hemisphere" (帝国主義の思想：南半球のシステムを作成します。):

1. "True Southern Government" – anti-liberalism, anti-communism, and anti-pluralism. Building a system based on the idea that one race should create the foundation for others to follow.
2. "Road To Enlightenment" – the creation of a state run by a nationalist dictatorship to enlighten the road for the nation's economy, military, and society, so that the state can develop non-stop.
3. "Creation of A Pure Race" – establish a state with one singular race, one singular nationality, and one singular community. The existence of a multi-cultured and diverse society is the driving force that halts South Singularism.
4. "Belief and Actions" – the people under a South Singularist government must follow state-run belief systems and act for the government.

The ideology behind South Singularism requires an immediate change of government by a powerful leadership, at the hand of either an individual or a group. Hoterallian political scientist Masazaku Tsukasa has defined South Singularism as "an unorganized political phenomenon, revolutionary, anti-liberal and anti-communist, formed in a militia party with a totalitarian conception of politics and the state. Usually headed by an ultranationalist with negative views on democracy, outsiders, and those who oppose them and their thinking."
