The Jijani State Forest is a protected tropical savanna forest located in the Hani Peninsula province of Salamat. As of 2016, the forest covers about 1,320 km² of territory, a sharp decrease compared to the 3,140 km² in 1973. The forest, victim of deforestation by the inhabitants, hosts a large variety of fauna and flora. The forest is crossed by two rivers (oueds) : Oued Aziz, and Oued Minyar.
