In 1774, a massive group of German sailors landed on the capital's port and began a 'lightning invasion' of Yaouko's territory. Many of the tribes were completely exterminated and their properties taken out by the new authorities.
The colonialists started a campaign of alphabetization and assimilation against the natives.

Yaouko, officially the Federal Democratic Republic of Yaouko is a country in West-central Africa. Its culture is highly diversified due to the presence of many tribes and different mix of races, languages and religions, all of them co-existing peacefully over the last few decades. For a long time, it was considered one of the most important ports in Africa. It's capital and largest city is Meidou.

History

In the Pre-history it is believed that many tribes inhabited what is Yaouko nowadays approximately 6 million years ago according to what was found by historians. Both fossil and human remains were found in the jungle a couple of decades ago which were analyzed and found that those remains belonged to a fossilized woman.
