Abydos (Ancient Kazdelian: Άβυδος; Abydus), formally The Most Serene Imperial Capital City of Abydos, is the largest city of Kazdel, and the fifth-largest Illuverendian city. From a 2056 census, the city has a population of 11.65 million.
Established in 3100 BCE, it became the capital of the Kazdelian Empire 100 years later. Abydos is the oldest Illuverendian city that has been continuously inhabited, and the oldest city in the Southeast Anean region.
