Zacharias V (16 March 1556 – 27 October 1597) was King of Nova Solarius during the 16th Century. He is regarded as one of the best monarchs Solarius had with his political reforms and expansion of territory in Pelia. He started the colonial era after the colonization of Frutiltus. His reign set the Aureum Period from 1556-1681. During Zacharias' reign, The Laros Famine happened, but with the establishment of the Food & Safety Department in 1572GD, life expectancy improved by 1583GD with a average life of citizens were 65 years old. Zacharias also founded many institutions with the most notable one being The Institute for the Blind which he established since his favorite cousin, Prince Peter of Aliga was blind. He was known as the Philosopher King due to his care for his people rather than the care for glory. Most of the wars Zacharias fought were defensive wars against aggressor nations. One of these wars, Agori War were the bloodiest in 300 years.
