The earliest known history of Veridora dates back to around 10,000 BD (Before Discovery) with findings of traditional hand-made bowls and vases. It is said that they were made in a special way which would make them less fragile than modern vases and bowls. Most of Veridoria's early history consisted of it being divided up into numerous different small tribes. Some attempts were made by different tribes to establish control over a large portion of the region, such as the Atsani Empire or Yoolgaii Tribe. In 0 AD (After Discovery), Members of the Toohlaali tribe would report strange men arriving at the coast in advanced boats. This message would later be forwarded to the chief of the tribe, who would meet with the men. Neither were able to understand eachother, so instead they used hand signals. Eventually, the Toohlaali tribe would allow the men's integration into the tribe as members. Overtime, the men's skills in argriculture would give them much control over the tribe, and would begin establishing a Confederation with allied tribes. After a century of settlement, the Caucasian population would grow larger than the Veridorian Native population.

The pilgrims would also teach the natives their ways of life, customs, and even language. The pilgrims would work hard to turn the newly formed Veridora into a country preforming similarly to countries such as Avirault, the one they fled. French would become the standard language for speech and writing, and the customs the pilgrims taught would be adopted. A military would be established which would work to expand the claims of Veridora, though it's technology would be held back due to the difference of resources in the region. Eventually, the musket was invented, increasing the military's effectiveness due to the musket being foreign  to the rest of the continent.

The Democratic Republic of Veridora, or Veridora for short is a Single-Party Authoritarian State which has a primarily temperate landscape, as well as a predominantly Caucasian population. The capital of Veridora is Châteaumont and Veridora's Premier is Augustin Royer. The Veridorian Government is noted for it's opposition of monarchist and fascist regimes. This is mainly due to the fact that Veridora's founders were escapees of the Kingdom of Avirault, a monarchist regime. Veridora is also home to many natives, as the natives and the castaways were able to establish friendly relations.

Etymology

The name "Veridora" comes from the mis-translated "Var-Dora" which was said to mean "Open Gate". The true meaning behind this is still debated.

History

The earliest known history of Veridora dates back to around 10,000 BD (Before Discovery) with findings of traditional hand-made bowls and vases. It is said that they were made in a special way which would make them less fragile than modern vases and bowls. Most of Veridoria's early history consisted of it being divided up into numerous different small tribes. Some attempts were made by different tribes to establish control over a large portion of the region, such as the Atsani Empire or Yoolgaii Tribe. Though divided, the region did have many cultural similarities and weren't especially hostile with eachother.

In 0 AD (After Discovery), Members of the Toohlaali tribe would report many strange men arriving at the coast in advanced boats. After a few decades of settlement, the Caucasian population would grow larger than the Veridorian Native population.

A military would be established which would work to expand the claims of Veridora. The Veridorans would also teach the natives how to craft muskets, allowing the early production of the weapon, though not nearly as uniform as a modern factory.
