Asteraceae, also known as Astera or her honourary title Herald of the Cosmos, is a Xyn politican currently serving as First Speaker of the Hierophancy since 68 PA. She served as the Mystagogue of Vermindt from 61 PA to 68 PA. She had appointed herself as Rector of War in 69 PA, one year into her role as First Speaker, before she stepped down from the position 14 years later, in 83 PA.

The first Xyn to be awoken into the Galaxy by the Drudari following The Entry into the Shroud, Asteraceae would go on to rise the ranks of Xyn society. Serving as a member of the Xyn Expeditionary Corps in the Drudari-Ternary War, she and her fellow Xyn became renowned for their roles as neutral medics during the conflict.
