History
Early Life
Alexander, was born at Highever Mercy Hospital on 24 June 1986 and was the first born son of His Majesty King William V and his Queen Consort, Emily, and as such was the Crown Prince of Arcadia from birth. He was baptised on 20 July 1986 in at a private ceremony at the Chapel Royal at Saltwood Castle, the Royal Family’s country retreat on the shores of Lake Saltwood in the Duchy of Summerswind by the Archbishop of Highever. As was, and remains, traditional, Alexander was educated at private schools, starting with the at the High Cliff School, until the age of 11 before being admitted to the prestigious St. Matthew’s College. During this time, Alexander took up rower and became a national-award winning junior rower, as well as developing a love for equestrian and becoming a competent polo player.
Over the summer after leaving St. Matthew’s, Alexander attended the basic flight training at the Royal Arcadian Air Force Academy before enrolling at the University of Redford on a bachelors degree course in Military History, graduating with a upper second class honours. During his time at the Redford, Alexander served in the University Officer Training Corps, attending numerous training courses over the course of his three years at Redford. Immediately after graduating Alexander reported to the Royal Arcadian Naval Academy for Initial Officer Training in September 2007, commissioning as an Ensign upon completion nine months later.
Military Career
After two weeks of leave, Alexander reported to the Initial Warfare Officer’s Course (IWOC) at HMAS Traveller's Point, the Royal Arcadian Navy’s Warfare Training Centre, where he spent three months learning the basics of navigation and warfare, followed by Basic Fleet Time (BFT), a four month stay aboard the Aircraft Carrier HMAS Illustrious, which included departmental acquaints and valuable practical experience award an operational capital ship at sea. Returning to Traveller’s Point, Alexander attended the Initial Navigators Course (INO), a two-month training programme designed to develop specialist navigational skills, which were put into practise during his Specialist Fleet Time (SFT); nine-months aboard the Destroyer HMAS Justice, during which time he earned his bridge watchkeeping certificate. Returning to HMAS Traveller’s Point for a third time, Alexander underwent the Warfare Officer’s Qualification Course (WOQC), a three-month consolidation course on navigation, warfare and divisional responsibilities, followed by a final assessment and qualification as a Warfare Officer and promotion to Lieutenant (Junior Grade).
After an extended period of leave, two months during which Alexander undertook Royal Duties on behalf of his father, the King, Alexander insisted on being allowed as full a naval career as possible and was ordered to report to the Destroyer, HMAS Virtue as Officer of the Watch 3. After a very successful two-year sent aboard the Virtue, gaining excellent performance reports, Alexander was promoted to Lieutenant (Senior Grade) in 2014, serving a complement role aboard Destroyer HMAS Vindicator as Officer of the Watch 1, serving in that role for twelve-months before reporting to HMAS Traveller’s Point where he underwent the Air Warfare Officer’s Course (AWOC), learning the ins-and-outs of naval air warfare over a six-month period, during this time Alexander met Lady Stephanie Warner, whom he would later marry. After the graduating from AWOC, Alexander reported back to the Vindicator as her Air Warfare Officer (AWO). Alexander was aboard the Vindicator, off the coast of Arcadia, in May 2016 when news reached the ship of the Assassination of King William V and Queen Sarah, and that Alexander was now the King of Arcadia, bringing his military career to a shuddering stop. The Vindicator’s Captain arranged for Alexander to fly back shoreside where he returned to Highever.
King of Arcadia
It soon became clear that the Assassination was the work of a conspiracy of corrupt politicians and corporate leaders, who feared the rumours that the Late King had been planning to launch a fight against the corruption that plagued the Kingdom. Furious, Alexander took the initiative and went a step further, reasserting the Crown’s authority over Parliament under the written laws as opposed to decades-long convention. Alexander gained the support of the Royal Arcadian Constabulary, the Lord Chief Justice of Arcadia and the Lord High Marshal of Arcadia and on the morning of 11 May 2016 ordered an RAC raid on 1 Portcullis House, taking a number of corrupt politicians, including the Speaker of the Commons.
