Abd-El Rahman Jarruf (born August 15 1956) is a Salamati politician and military officer, and the president of Salamat since 2019.
Formerly a high-ranking official of the National Salvation Party, his disagreements with the party's recent policies made him quit his post in 2010 and become an independent candidate, unaffiliated with any party. He succeeded Janub Mohamed Al Jumiyin, after he accepted to organize presidential elections due to nationwide unrest. However, his election was considered to be a fraud, and the protesters called for a comprehensive reform of the Salamati politics.
