The RBS World Service is the international broadcasting network of the Radictistan Broadcasting Service, the national public broadcaster of the Grand Duchy of Radictistan. The RBS World Service delivers news reports by shortwave radio and satellite television to people all over the world. All of its services operate 24 hours a day and without advertising. The World Service is funded through the general RBS budget and its services are therefore free of commercial advertisements.
Services
Television
The RBS World Service maintains two free-to-air satellite television channels under the RBS World Television ident. These are RBS World Television and its HD simulcast RBS World Television HD. The television service includes both informational and entertainment programs. Both channels also have a timeshift feed. The RadSat geostationary satellites as well as foreign satellites carry the RBS World Service channels.
Radio
RBS Radio International is the international radio station of the RBS. It broadcasts from Westwoodsur in the shortwave band at 15450 kHz by day and at 5970 kHz by night. The service consists of identical analog and DRM feeds and features both Radictistani and international news.
Internet
Live streams of all RBS World Service radio and television programming are available at world.rbs.co.rd. There are also a number of text articles in Radictistani and various foreign languages.
Languages
The RBS World Service currently broadcasts in Radictistani and English. There are plans to add more languages to the service pending the completion of ongoing market research. Introducing more languages to the World Service would require the creation of additional radio and television services in order to avoid crowding out the popular English broadcasts.
