Adéline, also known as Lady Adéline, is the national personification of Greater Penguinia. First designed and painted by an unknown artist in the Middle Ages, she was made to represent strength, order, purpose, and unity, the likes of which resulting from the unification of Greater Penguinia.
While variations of Adéline's appearance have been made over the centuries, her overall design has remained consistent. She is usually depicted as a well-endowed woman, with long, white hair and silver eyes. Additionally, she also wears a black dress with golden accents, black and white furs, and a golden crown atop her head. Adéline is also of requently depicted from the waist above, though several paintings of her have been made that depict her whole body.
Aside from representing important virtues, her overall design and her choice of attire relate to Greater Penguinia's land and its people. For instance, her hair and eye color are heavily synonymous with the typical physical features of Penguinians. Moreover, her crown represents the monarchy, her royal furs represent the naturally frigid climate, and her prodigious bust has been jokingly attributed as a representation of the two largest mountains in Greater Penguinia, Mount Penguinius and the Montblanc.
