The USRN is a federation comprising 18 republics (Kembala: remakan), officially known as socialist republics (Kembala: remakan soktialista). These republics serve as the USRN's first-level administrative divisions. The constituent republics of the USRN possess significant autonomy within the federal state and are drawn along major ethnic boundaries.
