The Second Republic (Farokandi: Rézpublika Dézok), officially the Republic of Farokand (Farokandi: Rézpublika Farokandi), was the period of Farokandi history from the end of the Yurotdzé Crisis to the beginning of the Surumax Crisis and the 1959 coup d'état. The period of the Second Republic oversaw the country during the Pundann War, Era of Turbulence, the Great War, and the ascension of Farokand to superpower status. The foreign policy of the Second Republic dictated the early Cold War doctrine for both it and the Third Republic, especially with the establishment and commitment to DOTO.
