The 2028 United Kingdom general election was held on 10 October 2028. It saw the governing Labour party lose its landslide majority, forcing Keir Starmer to form a cooperation agreement with the Liberal Democrats to stay in power. The Conservatives under Tom Tugendhat recovered from their 2024 landslide loss, though still short winning.
