The Senator President pro Consillium (Daresin: ʃɛнʌꞇoꞃ Pꞃɑꞅιꝺɛнꞅ pꞃo Coнꞅιɭιʏ), colloquially referred to by the shortened title of Proconsul, is the highest ranking member, and presiding officer of the Hooserian Senate. A senator, the proconsul is elected by a simple majority vote of fellow senators following each election. The proconsul's role within the Senate is similar to that of other speaker positions. Upon assuming office, the proconsul nominates a Senator Loquent to serve as their deputy should they be unavailable.

The current proconsul is Mor Finn Muirgen, and the longest serving proconsul was Arthur Samuel Holcom at 18 terms in office.
