The Broadcasting Service of the Republic of Uskad, better known by its abbreviation BSRU, is the national public service broadcaster of Uskad. It was founded in 1944 shortly after Uskadian independence. It was formed from and heavily modelled after the British Broadcasting Corporation. The BSRU is a full member of the International Broadcasting Alliance. It employs over 11,000 people.
Initially formed in 1944, it was formally established by the Broadcasting Service Act of 1946. It is mainly funded by broadcast licence, which is set to be abolished by 2025, to be replaced by a broadcasting tax.
It operates four television stations, and also operates six radio stations. They cover the entirety of Uskad, except in Tapakrebon where the BSRU still broadcasts but is mainly supplemented by the RTT (Radio Televisi Tapakrebon). It also operates a video-on-demand service, Wave.
