The Château des Solvardière is a large castle located in the city of Porte-Lyon, Allieu; it served as the center of the historical administration of Allieu until its independence in 1956. It is located on the right bank of the Ettienes River, which formerly fed its ditches.
The castle has been listed as a monument historique by the Allieu Ministry of Culture since 1840. Today the castle houses the Porte-Lyon History Museum. It is classified as a World Cultural Site.
