AV-30 Reaper
The AV-30 Reaper was acquired by the Confederate Military to compliment its fleet of V-30 Phantom's. Utilizing the same unique tandem tilt rotor (dual rotor) engines, it is capable of greater stability and maneuverability in combat zones. It is primarily utilized in conjunction with deployments of V-30 Phantom's for fire support roles, using its 20mm six barreled Gatling gun and 40mm Bofors cannon to accurately conduct fire support missions while loitering, and its additional 20mm three barreled gatling guns and six weapons hardpoints for strafing missions. In emergency situations, the AV-30 Reaper has the ability to retrieve or ferry ten troops in or out of battle and deploy special forces units behind enemy lines.
Description
The AV-30 Reaper is based upon the highly successful V-30 Phantom tandem tilt rotor. However, instead of acting as a mere utility aircraft, the Reaper is designed to take the fight to the enemy and demolish them under a highly accurate barrage of shells and missiles. This allows it to excel in three roles:
- Detection and Interdiction of Enemy Forces
- Escort of Less Heavily Armed Aircraft (in particular its parent aircraft, the Phantom)
- Deployment and Support of Small Special Forces Units
It was acquired by the Confederate Military to conduct fire support missions in lieu of larger fire support aircraft and additionally provide support for its fleet of V-30 Phantom's.
