We have developed a special bot that supports linking your IIWiki account with your Discord account. Some benefits that you can get with linking your accounts include being more easily identifiable to moderators, leading to faster and fairer enforcement actions, and being able to prove your identity to the staff upon request. This page tells you what you need to do to link your accounts together.
Requirements
- Must be on the IIWiki Discord server and have a Discord account
- Must have an IIWiki account with the permission to generate bot passwords
Creating your Bot Password
Before you can start the linking process, you will need to create a bot password by visiting Special:BotPasswords. You will be given a unique username and password you will use to verify yourself, for example, it could be Chan@AnonBot. You will use these credentials, and not the credentials you use to login to IIWiki normally.
Starting the linking process
To start the linking process, say "/link" on any server that has IIWiki-Chan (our in-house bot) and that will initiate the process. Should you not already have an account linked, it will bring up a dialog box where you will enter your information. Once you have done that and hit enter, it will let you know if it failed or succeeded.
Using certain features
Certain features (such as /recommend), require certain permissions to be granted to the bot that you create. This section will tell you what you need to grant for certain commands to work:
/recommend
Grant these permissions in addition to the default ones:
- Edit existing pages

/ban
