The KBR-18 Battle Rifle is the Battle Rifle in use by the Royal Joseon Armed Forces. KBR-18 is used as the main infantry firearm by designated marksman in each infantry squad or search battalions. Soonyang Defense was responsible for the design of the rifle and is dedicated to its production. it is intended for use where the penetrative power, stopping power, and range of the 5.56×45mm standard rifles would otherwise be insufficient. The KBR-18 is gas-operated, has a rotating bolt and is capable of selective fire.
