The De Waard cabinet (French: Cabinet De Waard) is the twenty-fifth and most recent government of the Carrelian Confederation. It is a centre-left and left-wing coalition, formed of the Radical–Green alliance, Ensemble, New Left, and the Christian Union, with the support of the Communist Party in the Senate.
It was formed following the August 2024 general election, which resulted in a victory for the Radical–Green alliance. While Christian Union leader Klemens Stemmler rejected co-operation with New Left, following his resignation on 26 August a coalition was approved overwhelmingly by its Federal Convention. Following the approval of a coalition plan on 30 August, former civil servant Cathelijne De Waard was selected to lead the coalition as Captain-Regent.
Investiture
De Waard was selected as Captain-Regent by the coalition on 2 September 2024. She was invested by the Common Council the following day.
