In Realms, a Homunculus (Chinese: 何蒙库鲁兹, pinyin: Héméngkùlǔzī) is an artificially made humanoid sentient being. Homunculi are made by combining the genes of several individuals into a single one, essentially creating a designer baby with multiple parent organisms.

History

Realms of the Multiverse

The Apex, the only known homunculus in the game so far, was created by a rogue Huang-Ahn scientist with the genes of several concubines, including Michelle and Diamond out of frustration for Tianshi's harem. He had created at least 30 other homunculi in his career, but she was the only one known to have survived, which may be due to the healing factor inherited from Michelle.

NationStates Worlds

With the fact that NSW cards are created by drawing miniscule amounts of Qi from various universes as a basis, Alpha Epsilon experimented on the concentration of Qi required to create functioning cards by drawing Qi belonging to different individuals and imprinting them on blank cards. The successful results became the homunculus cards in circulation.

Weaknesses

In addition to the beneficial traits inherited from their parents, homunculi also inherit their weaknesses, such as The Apex inheriting a weakness to silver from Michelle.
