Fanato is a planet in the Fanafon System in the Inner Band of the Talin Galaxy; Fanato has two moons: Dhanopumuto and Thanopumuto. The planet is mostly covered by desert and oceans with various large pockets of subtropical dry forests. The native sentient species are the Hanahan, a bipedal reptilian species accustomed to desert life but mostly inhabit in the forests. Fanato is governed by a council of clan chiefs and is a member of the Galatic Union. The planet's rare resources has provided incentives and opportunities for both the Hanahan and non-natives with mining now the largest industry on the planet.
