The People's Progressive Party (PPP; members typically referred to as "Progressive-Populists") is a centre-left political political party in the United States. Founded in 1914 as an amalgamation of the Progressive (Bull Moose) and People's (Populist) parties, it has long been the third-largest political party in America, after the Democrats and Republicans. The Progressive-Populists are electorally strong in the West and Midwest, but have little presence in the South and East. They are currently the second-largest party in the Alliance for Democracy, after the Democratic Party.
