Mthatha (Kabwe: Mthatha, Ndola: Mtahtah, Gawi: M'htata, Gweru: M'tata, Hwange: M'tata) is the capital and largest city in Kitwe. It is the governmental, economic and ethnical center of Kitwe. The city contains major authorities of the Republic of Kitwe and is the home to the leader. It is notable for many national monuments and cultural history. Majority street languages are Kabwe, Ndola and Gawi. But minority languages can be spoken in specific neighborhoods aswell. The name "Mthatha" is derived from the word "unity" from a currently dead language known as Kadoma. Mthatha has long been the main settlement of Kadoma tribes, till being driven to extinction due to Gweru, Hwange and Kabwe occupations. Hwange is rarely spoken as it is being infused with its twin language, Gweru.
