The 2017 Noon Federal Election was the 5th biannual election (30th in total), which resulted in a record voting turnout and a landslide victory for Steven Rilo.[1] Rilo and John Edwards won at 83%, which was a record high for the Liberal Party since 1998. Edwards later succeeded to the presidency after Steven Rilo was assassinated in December the next year.[2][3] Rilo and Graton had a close race until a scandal came out about Graton in July.[4]
