The Democratic Forces for the Liberation of Terranihil (DFLT) (Terranilian: Dólan Freintónelethe ul Halmivek er Teraníl) is a terrorist organization in Terranihil. The DFLT has seeks the end of the Terranilian government, the reestablishment of democracy, and the removal of Islam from Terranihil. They have killed 45 Terranihilians, 27 of which were Muslim. The DFLT was founded in 2010 by Mikel Therúnk.
History
Formation
The exact history of the formation of the DFLT is unclear. The DFLT was founded by Mikel Therúnk, an ex-professor of history at the University of Intemil. Therúnk was fired for suggesting that Terranilian economy would have prospered more if the Progressive Revolution never happened. In 2010, Therúnk met with Jožua Mógrais, an ex-member of the Free Chrisitan Army (FCA), and decided to start an antigovernment organization to fight for the reinstatement of democracy. Therúnk recruited one other professor and two students, and Mógrais recruited four militants from the FCA.
Attacks
The newly formed DFLT immediately began planning an attack on the University of Intemil.
The group carried out several bombings and shootings; the University of Intemil Bombing in 2016 was their most deadly attack, claiming twelve lives. The Department of Internal Intelligence launched a massive offensive against the group in 2016, killing most of the leaders except for Therúnk. The DFLT went silent, and the Terranilian government believed it was succesful in destroying the group; however it reappeared in 2020.
