The Kolodorian Naval Forces are the sea-based component of the Kolodorian People's Defense Forces, tasked with maritime defense of Kolodorian territory and interests. Never a historical naval power, the Naval Forces made brief forrays into establishing a stronger prescence in the Meridian and Northern Oceans through the latter half of the 20th Century, with mixed success. The Naval Forces suffered heavy losses during the Vinyan War and afterwards shifted towards local defense of Kolodoria's coastline. The 2016 Defense Forces report outlined the role of the Federal Naval Forces as "littoral defense and enforcement of Kolodoria's Economic Exclusion Zone and Maritime interests". The Kolodorian Naval Forces operate 2 cruisers, 16 destroyers and frigates, 24 corvettes, 12 diesel-electric submarines, and 154 patrol boats and small craft, minesweepers, and auxiliary vessels.
