Juca Avaliani (Palian: José Avaliani de Ventana, 10 March 1771 - 22 May 1835), born José Avaliani (Rasmean: იოსებ ავალიანი Ioseb Avaliani) was a Palian and Sabarine statesman and military leader who flourished during the Great Upheaval. He was a key ally of Julián Nápoles, undertook numerous successful campaigns during the Palian Revolutionary Wars, served three non-consecutive terms as President of the First and Second Palian Republics, and reigned as Josephus I of Sabaria, and Giuseppe III of Ventana, from 1821 to 1823. He is celebrated in Palia as a stalwart defender of democracy, and is considered to be the greatest military commander of his time. His turbulent political legacy has made him a controversial yet famous figure in Auressia.
