The impeachment of Kálmán Galántha, the 72nd First Minister of the Népkormány, was initiated on March 8, 2019. The impeachment began at the behest of a petition of impeachment of Kálmán Galántha, which was sent to the Országgyűlés on the charge that Kálmán had attempted to violate the will of the Országgyűlés and was responsible for election fraud. Galántha, who was on the third year of his second four year term, was charged in front of the Népkormány Integrity Committee. He was charged on violating the fifth article and eighth article of the Convention of Justice and Government.

The impeachment of Kálmán Galántha was requested by Nationalist Polgárság member Piroska Szamoránsky, a representative from the Kékes Province, alledging that Galántha and his party, the Traditionalists had tampered with ballots from the 2016 Népkormány election in order to fix a result towards his party. The Nationalist Party, as well as the Sovereign Party and the XXXX party. Alledging that the votes from the Kékes District, Csönge District, and the Vasvár District were fixed towards the Traditionalist Party due to reported error in machines related to voting count during the Hétumogerian election, 2018. Databases referred to several voters who were recorded deceased before the 2016 election in the 2018 election. This was compounded by allegations of the Traditionalists and Galántha of abusing their access to election places, which was considered a violation of the Országgyűlés in the trust the Országgyűlés maintained between them and the Népkormány.

Galántha attempted to suppress Szamoránsky, but found the Népkormány move to vote for initiating the impeachment process. The impeachment process began by convening the Népkormány Integrity Committee, which included Kristóf III, Erzsébet Vásárosnamény, Jenő Rónai Szilágyi, László Lenkovics, and Elene Donáth. The committee was then assigned members directly from the Népkormány. From March to May, the Integrity Committee held its first meeting where it announced the full roster of members that were from the Népkormány. All work done by the Népkormány and the leaders of the Integrity Committee was withheld from the public until the hearing. The impeachment hearing by the Integrity Committee began by hearing from the members of witnesses they gathered before the Committee, then towards the evidence gathered, and finally the charges brought against Galántha. A single new charge was made against Galántha, influence peddling from several close family members that was discovered by the Hétumoger Noble Internal Commissary. It was agreed in a 4-1 vote that the impeachment was approved and the charges must be decided, and the case must be made by both parties.

In June, the full articles from the members of the Népkormány were submitted to the Integrity Committee. A last minute attempt by the Traditionalist Party to submit a Censure of the Országgyűlés to the Népkormány failed. The full trial began on June 8, and the final hearing by the Integrity Committee took place on June 14. The final judgement from the Committee was a 3-2 vote in favor of impeaching Galántha on charges of violating the will of the Országgyűlés as well as election fraud.
