The Region of Kojbakvy is one of the eight Sloverti administrative regions and consists of 23 Municipalities (obec) and 220 departments, The region was established in 1815 after Sloveti independence. It is a flatter region with many large towns and is the most populous region in Slovertia. Kojbakvy city is the region administrative center and there is a strong cultural environment. Other large cities include Juzny hrad. The symbol of Kojbakvy is a golden bear.
Geography
Kojbakvy Kraj is located in southern Slovertia and has an area of 9,478 km² and a population of 2,761,563 (2018). belonging to the Northern Tartaras. Unlike most of Slovertia modt of Kojbakvy is made up of grassy plains and green rolling hills. This is in contrast to ghe rest of thd country's mountainous terrain. Kojbakvy's flatter terrain can be attributed to it's large population.
History
Demographics
The population density in the region is 290/km². The largest towns are the regional capital Kojbakvy, Juzny hrad, Mular, Ríes and Terias. The level of urbanization is the highest in Slovertia, with about 75% of the population living in the towns, According to the 2016 census, there were 2,761,563 inhabitants in the region, almost wholly Sloverti (96.5%), with people from Berique making up most of the rest (<2.5%) and Mazurians (<1%).
Economy
The main employers are industry and tourism and the city of Kojbakvy is the region's financial centre and is home to the headquarters of companies such as AMZ. There is a strong industrial base in Juzny hrad with wood pulp and engineering factories as well as car manufacturing plants.
