The Strife is a reality game show on Noble that is spun off from two of the network's reality shows, _ and _. Originally featuring alumni from these two shows, casting for The Strife has slowly expanded to include contestants from other reality TV shows. The contestants compete against one another in various extreme challenges to avoid elimination. The winners of the final challenge win the competition and share a large cash prize. The Strife is currently hosted by Rolando Yepes.

While players participate individually, some seasons may see them be a part of a team or even a duo. The criteria that teams have been arranged by over the show's history have ranged, from gender, a contestants original show, heroic/villainous status and ex-romantic partners of contestants. When playing individually or as a duo, they can win immunity and avoid being nominated into elimination rounds. Following that, everybody is able to participate in a reward competition. After that, the third challenge allows a contestant to wield a power known as The Ultima. What the Ultima does varies from season to season. Following the challenges, everybody votes on who they want in the elimination round. However, earlier seasons had the contestants in teams. The losing team would have to vote amongst themselves on who would go in. Like that of other reality tv shows, sporadically throughout the course of each episode, various contestants are seen privately expressing themselves through reality TV confessionals about the events taking place on the show. Some seasons, however, have used entirely different formats from the typical seasons.
