Orestaii

The Orestaii were one of the largest pre-Ruageuti Thafonic tribal confederations of the Vostau peninsula. They lived around the $REGION coastline to the south of Thafon. Their location has been documented both in endemic Thafonic texts (where they are referred to as Restaiktelon), and by visiting traders. Traders to the port of Thafon found the Orestaii to be unruly savages who tended to attempt raids of ships passing their coastlines. It appears that by c. 1000 BCE, Thafon had subjugated the Orestaii, either subsuming them into the Thafonic Patriarchy or eliminating them in all but name.

Location

The Orestaii were located on the $PENINSULA, at the southernmost tip of the Vostau peninsula. Their location was directly south through the $BAY from Thafon, down to the opening in the Keelpijp. The Orestaii were known to be excellent boatbuilders and shipwrights - so much so that some archaeological findings from all over Vostau and beyond depict what appear to be Orestaii ships in their own distinctive style.
