The Zacapitec Writing Convention outlines the various writing systems both native and adopted for use in Zacapican, including those which are extinct in common use but remain in written form in ancient written documents. The native Zacapitec writing system, the True Script (๐ ‘๐ ’๐ ‚๐ Ž๐ ญ ๐ ผ๐ ‘๐ ฏ๐ ๐ š, Neltiliz Tlacuilolli) also known as the Nahuatl Syllabary, is descended from the Old Empire Syllabary and the Pre-Dynasty Syllabary before it which are themselves believed to be derived from the undeciphered Mananac Glyphs. The New Script (๐ ‹๐ ‚๐ Ž๐ š๐ €๐ ‚ ๐ ‘๐ ’๐ ‚๐ Ž๐ ญ, Tlacuilolli Yancuic) is the official latinization system for the Nahuatl language and is the second widely used writing system in Zacapican.
