The Evangelical Lutheran Church of Hverland (Swedish: Evangeliska lutherska kyrkan i Hveroyken; Hverlandic: Evangelísk lútersk kirkja Hvárðland), also called the State Church (Swedish: Statskyrkan, abbreviated SK; Hverlandic: Þjóðkirkjan), is the officially established Christian church in Hverland. The church professes the Lutheran faith and is a member of the Lutheran World Federation and the World Council of Churches.
It is liturgically and theologically "high church", having retained priests, vestments, and the Mass during the Reformation. In common with other Evangelical Lutheran churches (particularly in the Nordic and Baltic states), the Church maintains the historical episcopate and claims apostolic succession. The Church stresses the catholicity of historic Lutheranism in liturgy.
