AleziRadio Festival of Songs 1984
AleziRadio Festival of Songs 1984 is the twenty-seventh edition of the annual AleziRadio Festival of Songs. The competition was held as usual in 16th of May 1984 by the authorities of Radio Zafizamarrah. This is the eleventh time that Zafizamarrah hosted the competition after doing so previously in 1958, 1963, 1966, 1967, 1969, 1972, 1973, 1975, 1979, and 1980. The competition went to Zafizamarrah after the victory of Musa Nurhazi with the song "نحن متشابهين" last year.
This is the second time that Zafizamarrah hosted the competition outside of the Metropolitan City of Zafizamarrah after the region hosted the competition in Oldport-Newport in 1969. This time, it was hosted in the town of Iskandaruddin, 20 kilometers east of the Eastern Gate of the Metropolitan City. The decision to host the festival out of the Metropolitan City was decided due to massive road constructions that is happening throughout the city at the time, which would significantly create problems on transportation from the accomodation to the venue. Iskandaruddin itself was selected due to its near proximity to the Zafizamarrah Aeroport (changed its name to the Metropolitan Airstrip after the construction of Mukhlis Krasnaya International Airport was completed in 1998.)
The competition this time was held in the Husnama Theatre, which was the biggest theatre in Iskandaruddin until the completion of the Megatron-Telethon Theatre in 2018. It has the capacity of 2,750 people, and due to the availability of an orchestra pit and other facilities required for the competition, there are no seat reduction needed.
This edition, Mahardika Ausari returned representing Basna in the competition solo after representing the region together with Harun Soerafi and Namirul Darhan earning 17th place last year.
