The Assassination of Zachary Tyler was a successful assassination attempt that saw the incumbent Prime Minister of Alecburgh, Zachary Tyler, get shot three times through his chest by Dean St. Lucas at the Ruby Hotel in Kynnport, Alecburgh.
Immediately following, St. Lucas was apprehended and brought to East Kynnport Shore Police Headquarters, where he was interrogated, and Tyler was brought to Cameron Boiles Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead at arrival.
Background
Inauguration of Zachary Tyler
On May 12th, 1979, Zachary Tyler was sworn in as the new Prime Minister of Alecburgh, narrowly defeating former Deputy-Prime Minister, Maxwell Shotte. With his winning, he became the first Prime Minister of black descent, and the first to also not have any prior time in a institution of higher education.
Being Black-Alecburghish, he received a great deal of scrutiny and negative responses by the Alecburghish people, mostly from Caucasian-Alecburghish since it was a time that Civil Rights for Black and Ausianian-Alecburghish were taboo, and seen as a bad thing.

Assassination at the Ruby Hotel
At around noon on October 1, 1982, Prime Minister Zachary Tyler walked into the Ruby Hotel in the Hellyview Acres of Kynnport, accompanied by his girlfriend, Shauna Walters, his son Zachary Tyler Jr., and his deputy Prime Minister, Mitchell Lyons. Lyons would later say that no Royal Guards were present as Tyler had himself said that the Ruby Hotel was like a home to him, and he didn't feel safer anywhere. Soon after checking into his room, Tyler told Walters that he was going to go get ice from a machine down the haul. As soon as he left the room, not accompanied by anyone, Dean St. Lucas, a strong believer that no Black or Ausianian-Alecburghish should have rights, shot Tyler three times in the chest at point blank range. After the shots were fired, a singular Royal Guard, Gildroy Devers, who was asked by Lyons to protect him, sprang out of his hotel room and sprinted at St. Lucas as he tried to flee.
Accounts say that St. Lucas jumped out of a second story window, while others say he used a fire escape, but he made it down to the street where Shauna's screams were visibly clear through the hotel's windows. Royal Guards attacked St. Lucas and threw him to the ground where he was then brought to East Kynnport Shore Police Headquarters, all while ambulances arrived to bring Tyler to Cameron Boiles Memorial Hospital.
At 12:26 pm, Tyler arrived at the hospital, but was pronounced dead due to one of the three shots shooting straight into his heart. At 12:39pm, Mitchell Lyons was inaugurated as Prime Minister in emergency fashion by Gildroy Devers, near the side of Shauna, Tyler Jr. and the now dead, Zachary Tyler sr.
