Nguyễn Quế Thắm (15 September 1968) is the 10th and incumbent Director of the National Department of Preventive Medicine.
Early life
Thắm was born on 15 September 1968 to Nguyễn Thái Duy and Hoàng Ái Nhi. Her father Duy was a medical professor at Haigia National University and her mother Nhi was a doctor at Phạm Cẩm Yến Medical Center.
Inspired by her parents' mutual discipline, Thắm attended Trinh Lieu Han University and graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine degree with summa cum laude honors in 1989. Subsequently, Thắm attended Kontin Institute of Technology to obtain a Doctor of Medicine degree, and ranked first in her class. She pursued an internship and residency at her mother's medical center.
Career
Upon completing her residency, Thắm was employed as a clinical associate at the National Department of Preventive Medicine.
