Motorsport is widely popular throughout Astyria since the invention of the automobile. The region has hosted various motorsport series including Astyrian Formula One, the Astyrian Rally Championship, the Astyrian Endurance Championship, and the Astyrian Motorcycle Grand Prix Series. The Astyrian Motorsport Federation serves as the main governing body for four-wheeled and two-wheeled competition, while the Astyrian Powerboat Federation governs powerboat racing and the Astyrian Air Sports Federation governs air sports and airplane racing.

Astyrian Formula One
The Astyrian Formula One Championship (also known as Astyrian Formula One or as AstyF1) is the highest class of single-seater open-wheel auto racing sanctioned by the Astyrian Motorsport Federation. A Formula One season consists of races known as grands prix, which are held on specially-built circuits and on public roads. The first Astyrian Drivers' Championship was held in 1950 while the first Astyrian Constructors' Championship was held in 1960.
