Brigadier Richard Castleton CM is a Vionna-Frankenlischian military officer from Nimminster in the Duchy of Cunaris who has served in the Imperial Army since 2000. During his military career Castleton has served in the North Acheron War and the Marienberg Uprising as well as in a variety of peacetime postings as an officer in several regiments including: the Duke of Cunaris' Regiment, Royal Cunard Light Infantry, Queen's Own Rangers, Imperial Kenega Rifles, and most recently as commander of the Owaya Regiment.

Early Life

Castleton was born on 19 April 1982 in Nimminster. He was the son of Jon Castleton, a retainer in the service of the Marquess of Tarringway. At an early age, Castleton was educated at Nimminster Castle with the other children of the estate and then attended Nimminster College when he turned eleven. In 1993 Jon Castleton was killed in Prodava alongside the 6th Marquess of Tarringway and 7 other members of the estate at the Battle of El-Khabbar. Castleton was taken on by the 7th Marquess as a squire after the death of his father and he completed his education by correspondance course.

Military Career

Once his time squiring for the Marquess of Tarringway ended in 2000, Castleton chose to join the Imperial Army rather than remain at Nimminster as a man-at-arms. Though he initially enlisted as a private soldier, Castleton was soon sponsored by Tarringway to become and officer and the Marquess secured him a place at Imperial Staff College, Donaldia. He was enlisted officially as an Officer Cadet on 1 May 2000.
