The Republic of Mavoria (Mavorian: Mavoriasi Rëspublika) is a small rugged nation with an ancient history as a proud Indo-European people. The Mavorian nation was united in 1787 under the Kingdom of Mavoria. Over a century rule, the Kingdom broke down as a result of an over-expansive government and internal conflict. Years of internal strife brought the communists in power, which led to an almost century rule under a Communist Government (Socialist Republic of Mavoria). Finally, in 1988, a nationwide revolution brought down the Communist government and in its place came a conservative and democratic government, founding the Republic of Mavoria of today. In the present day, Mavoria remains an ever advancing nation and remains a society that is deeply tied by tradition and its Christian faith.
