James Lewis Sutton (born March 28, 1973) is an Amarian politician who is the 31st and current president of the Federal Provinces. A member of the Progressive Party, he previously served as a senator representing Michewa from 2016 to 2022 and as an Michewa state senator from 2008 to 2016.

Sutton was born in Kennedy, Michewa. After graduating from the Landen J. Murray Law Academy of the University of New Thornton in 1995, he practiced law for a few years. Turning to elective politics, he represented the 2nd district in the Michewa State Assembly from 2008 until 2016, when he successfully ran for the F.P. State Assembly. In 2021, after a close primary campaign against Sean van Riel, he was nominated by the Progressive Party for president and chose Spencer Garcia as his running mate. Sutton was elected over the Federalist nominee Steven Marshall in the presidential election and was inaugurated on February 12, 2022.
