• Unification of Germany and Unification of Italy takes place
• The Ottomans are driven out of the Balkans by Russia and the region turns into a constant back and forth battleground between Russia (backed by Serbia and Romania), Bulgaria, Greece (backed by Italy) and Hungary (backed by Germany)
