The National Football League (Carinansian: Liga Nacional de Futebol), commonly abbreviated as the LFN, is the nonprofit corporation that operates the preeminent international professional men's competition of Committee football. Through the LFN Commission, the League also serves as the sport's governing body overseeing all member leagues and is responsible for controlling the laws of the game. Founded in 1967 as the National Football League, it was first composed of the Eastern and Western Divisions. The association's inaugural tournament began the same year, and a national championship is held every two years. In 2013, the organisation was privatised by Carintecatl, but in 2044 it would be renationalised by RIMO to enact a massive organisational reform, which included the merger of the two existing leagues and the creation of the Northeastern League, the Lekeadian Federation of Committee Football, Occidental Association of Committee Football, and the New Western League in the former Republic of Kangsu.
