Honoured Elder

The Honoured Elder is the ceremonial Head of State of Mel-akkam. Elected annually, the Honoured Elder serves as a mediator and representative of Mel-akkan interests abroad, but does not play an active role in executive governance. The incumbent Honoured Elder is Pujari Adhineta.
