The Aquitaynian Men's National Football Team is the official men's soccer team for the Constitutional Monarchy of Aquitayne, within the region of Astyria. The Football Association de Aquitayne (FAA) is currently the official representative body and league within Aquitayne, and is the governing body of the team. After being established in 1984, the men's team played its first international match against Neu Engollon, resulting in a 2-1 loss. The team has competed in the Baptism of Fire in the past, though it has not made any appearances in any of the more recent tournaments.
The team often plays friendly matches, and competes annually for the Astyrian Cup, the pinnacle of football in Astyria.
History
1980's
The 80's were inevitably the most troubling years for the team. They suffered from frequent losses and because they were new to the international field, were at a severe disadvantage for more well-known and established teams around the region. The men's team took the 10th spot in the current 12-member conference in the Northern Central Conference. There, they faced stiff competition from Falkasia as well as Noordenstaat, which traditionally had strong squads and frequently made top appearances in tournaments around the region.
By the end of the 80's, the Aquitaynian Men's National Team had established themselves within the conference. They had gained the valuable experience necessary to compete on such a high level, and though they still had many challenges to face, they now knew more first-hand what was necessary to establish themselves as a legitimate club. Under the supervision of Coach Bastion Alrkas, who guided the team during the beginning to mid 1990's, the team would do just that.

Kit
The Aquitaynian kit has changed many times over the years, but the current kit can be seen in the images to the left. The current kit embodies the national colors of Aquitayne, blue and white, and also shows the national flag of the country across the breast of the player on the front of the shirt. Stars are seen inside the outline of the depiction of the flag to embody the spirit of Aquitaynians, as well as the greatness of the nation as a role model to all other Astyrian nations.
